Northern Education Trust in Stockton seeks a Governance Professional to advise the board on strategic, legal and operational governance matters. The role drives board effectiveness, risk management, and compliance while strengthening relationships across the multi-academy trust.

You will report to the Chair of the Board and CEO, and lead governance improvements, safeguarding, and policy development to support student outcomes and organisational success.

Qualificações

• Degree level or equivalent senior professional experience.
• Knowledge of Academy Trust Handbook, DFE and Governance legislation, GDPR and charity/company law.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the expert adviser on governance frameworks and statutory regulations.
• Lead recruitment campaigns and succession planning for trustees and members; design induction programmes.
• Oversee the trust’s assurance framework and scheme of delegation; manage statutory filings.
