The Electoral Commission is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning within the Financial Planning & Analysis team. You will provide expert financial advice to senior leaders and report to the Executive Team and Board.

Role includes line management of the Finance Apprentice, developing financial models and dashboards, and challenging strategic decisions with robust analysis.

Formación

• Professional accountancy qualification required (CCAB/CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant FP&A experience.
• Experience in a complex public sector environment.
• Ability to explain complex financial issues to non-finance audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning.
• Produce detailed financial analysis, modelling and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
• Build relationships with budget holders and senior stakeholders, giving expert financial advice and challenge.
• Produce management reporting, variance analysis and performance commentary.
• Contribute to in-year forecasting and Supply Estimates processes.
• Support business cases, investment appraisals and organisational change initiatives.
• Develop and improve financial models, dashboards and reporting tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, management information and processes.
• Report to Executive Team and Board level on financial matters.
• Coach and support colleagues, including line management of the Finance Apprentice.
