Job summary

DF Capital, a specialist bank based in Manchester, is seeking a Financial Crime Oversight Manager to assess and monitor the firm’s financial crime risk exposure. You will engage stakeholders, provide pragmatic guidance, and drive compliant risk management with 2LOD independence.

You will shape the design and testing of controls, lead regulatory horizon scanning, incident investigations, and risk reporting across the business. A dynamic, analytical leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong ethics and standards; comfortable with direct communication across levels of seniority.
• Experienced financial crime professional with outcomes-focused advice.
• Solid knowledge of Money Laundering Regulations 2017, JMLSG Guidance, and FCA Financial Crime Guide.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and testing of Financial Crime controls; feed back to operational teams and escalate issues.
• Support the MLRO to maintain the financial crime framework; advise on policy updates in line with regulatory changes.
• Lead reviews and updates to the enterprise risk assessment, customer risk assessments, documentation and system logic.
• Undertake regulatory horizon scanning of financial crime developments; brief Exec and Board.
• Lead investigation of potential fraudulent or suspicious activity; implement sanctions and anti-bribery policies; present findings.
• Own and monitor financial crime and fraud risk indicators; provide deep-dive analyses.
• Review and escalate emerging financial crime and fraud risks.
• Provide independent advice on financial crime systems and, where needed, deliver risk training to the business.
