Job summary

Howden is seeking a senior finance leader to head management accounting and financial control. The role focuses on the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, while leading a small team of four management accountants.

You will drive month-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and robust control environments, coordinating with FP&A and the Finance Director to feed into board reporting and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (FRS 102 and IFRS).
• Confident leader with proven experience of managing finance teams.
• Experienced in managing audits with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end processes with timely reporting.
• Own balance sheet integrity including reconciliations and controls.
• Coordinate with FP&A and Finance Director on pre-close outputs.
• Oversee end-to-end audit process and regulatory reporting.
• Manage and develop the Management Accounts team.
