Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials.
• Experience as Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cashflow skills.
• Understanding of statutory accounts, taxation and compliance.
• Commercial mindset with comfort presenting to Directors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor performance against budget with variance analysis.
• Manage cashflow and cashflow forecasting.
• Review financial reports and ensure accuracy across the finance function.
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to Directors and senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and processes.
• Manage relationships with accountants, auditors, banks, insurers and HMRC.
• Coordinate audits and prepare supporting documentation.
• Ensure tax obligations and statutory requirements are met on time.
• Lead and develop the finance team, including workload planning.
• Review payroll and maintain records of loans, advances and deductions.
• Oversee fleet-related financial administration.
• Maintain accurate financial records and collaborate with departments.
