Job summary

Adapro Talent Partners are partnering a Milton Keynes based manufacturing/construction business to recruit a Financial Controller for a 12-month maternity cover. The role leads financial reporting, close processes, working capital management, and cost control.

The successful candidate will be professionally qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with UK GAAP knowledge, experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar), and strong communication to engage with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with UK GAAP knowledge.
Experience in commercial accounting and financial reporting.
Ability to lead finance teams and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage monthly close and reporting for subsidiaries within defined timescales.
Prepare MI including P&L, working capital, balance sheet and KPI analysis.
Develop reporting tools to meet business information needs.
Support budget and rolling forecast processes with key driver analysis.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and highlight issues to Finance Director.
Monitor margin performance and cost variances across segments and products.
Coordinate with group reporting and external auditors for statutory accounts and taxes.
Oversee capex approvals and invoice recording processes.
Manage Accounts Payable with accuracy and compliance.
Lead recruitment, appraisals and performance management of finance teams.
