Job summary

Belfast City Council is seeking a permanent full-time CNS role within the City & Neighbourhood Services Department. The main focus is to provide advice and guidance on financial control, procurement, and performance information to support senior managers and staff.

The post involves supervising staff, supporting Directorate Support, and contributing to continuous improvement through data-driven decision making, in a bid to deliver efficient, cost-effective services.

Qualifications

• Experience providing financial control and procurement support.
• Experience in performance and information management.
• Ability to support staff and manage day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to senior managers and other staff on financial control, procurement and general business support, performance and information.
• Assist with the day-to-day management and supervision of assigned staff to ensure department needs are met in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Assist in the management of Directorate Support with performance management and a total quality management approach to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and data-driven decision making.
