Job summary

Michael Page is assisting a well-known UK client in Liverpool to recruit a Finance Business Partner. The role focuses on partnering with senior leaders, managing budgets and forecasts, and driving financial performance through robust analysis.

The successful candidate will be part-qualified and have experience in budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder management, with a strong drive to deliver value across departments. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrable stakeholder management abilities.
• Part-qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA with ongoing studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with budget holders and senior leaders to understand financial needs.
• Act as the main finance contact for your portfolio, ensuring high quality business partnering service.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on the financial position of departments with clear stakeholder insight.
• Produce accurate forecasts and highlight opportunities, risks and efficiency improvements.
• Review payroll spending and investigate variances against establishment figures.
• Work with budget holders to develop realistic and achievable annual budgets.
• Review expenditure across supplies, services and ops, recommending efficiency opportunities.
• Build strong links with HR, Finance Operations, Admin, IT, Estates and others to support accurate financial management.
