Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years' experience.
• Previous experience managing a small team.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance processes.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and confident in explaining financial information to non-financial colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Leading monthly period-end processes and delivering accurate, insightful reporting.
• Driving annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Managing cash flow and day-to-day transactional finance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with VAT, CIS, and PSA legislation and overseeing statutory audits.
• Producing annual statutory accounts and managing credit control.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Building strong relationships across the business and mentoring the Finance Assistant.
