Job summary

Mercor is seeking a seasoned finance professional to contribute to a high-quality library of strategic finance work products. You will complete self-contained exercises and deliverables from mock files, with evaluation based on a rubric.

You will build business cases, perform capital allocations, and develop pricing analyses to support enterprise decisions. The role emphasizes ownership of pricing and strategic planning and is aligned with a corporate planning function.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning inside an operating company.
• Ownership of a capital or pricing decision that went to a leadership forum.

Responsibilities

• Build business cases and investment appraisals with NPV, IRR and payback for a project, product, or make-versus-buy decision.
• Produce capital allocation determinations ranking investments against hurdle rates with portfolio review.
• Build scenario and sensitivity analyses of the corporate plan across demand, pricing and cost.
• Analyze pricing and discount economics supporting price setting and deal desk approvals with margin impact.
• Produce market sizing and competitive landscape analysis, cohort and unit economics, and cost baseline and savings analysis for a cost reduction program.

About the work

We're building a high-quality library of strategic finance work products. You'll complete self-contained exercises from mock files (market data, cost baselines, pricing schedules) and produce the deliverable for each, graded against a rubric.

What you'll do
