What you’ll actually spend your time on

• You'll partner with our Strategic Finance team and stakeholders to drive initiatives that redefine Checkatrade's product vision and journey.
• You'll lead the crafting and implementing of smart capital allocation strategies and maximise ROI. You’ll conduct detailed financial analyses like ROI assessments, cost-benefit breakdowns, and scenario planning to appraise investments and M&A opportunities, central to our strategy.
• You'll play a key role in shaping quarterly and annual budgets, and the ambitious 5-Year Plan.
• You’ll monitor capital performance, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• As a committed advisor and challenger to stakeholders, you'll help ensure every decision maximises value and safeguards against financial risks, ensuring compliance and sound practices.

What we’re looking for

• Experience working within investment banking, consulting, or high-growth commercial finance. Big 4 experience would be a bonus.
• Ability to work with large data sets and be a data-driven thinker.
• Solid experience with Excel and Word; advanced PowerPoint experience would be fantastic.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Financial modelling background; you don’t just build models — you master them.
