Job summary

Royal Holloway invites applications for Deputy Director, Facilities Management, to provide strategic leadership across FM and shape the estate’s future at this historic university.

Reporting to the Estates Director, you will oversee governance, delivery and performance of investment, maintenance and compliance programmes, while driving digital self-service tools and a proactive safety culture. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Educational background: minimum degree level (or equivalent) in a property-related professional service.
• Proven track record in a senior FM role in HEI or similar scale organisation.
• Strong organisation, interpersonal and emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee governance, delivery and performance of investment, maintenance and compliance programmes across the institution.
• Drive adoption of new digital self-service solutions to enhance the experience of students, staff and visitors.
• Direct and manage a proactive, engaged culture of health and safety compliance, backed by robust management and reporting systems.
• Build relationships with professional service and academic stakeholders and the Student Union to ensure facilities are safe, secure and fit for purpose.
