• Lead a broad portfolio including Housing, Planning, Economic Growth and Development, and Cultural & Community Services.
• Play a central role in delivering the Council Plan, progressing the Local Plan, driving housing improvement and supporting sustainable growth.
• Lead major investment and regeneration projects, including town centre transformation and engagement with businesses and investors.
• Build relationships with key employers and opportunities such as the East Midlands Freeport.
• Support place-based services shaping ahead of 2028 unitary council reorganisation.
• Contribute strategic leadership and resilience during transformational change.
• Help South Derbyshire remain attractive to live, work and invest.
