Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide support to the Director of a major research institute in Manchester. The role involves managing complex diaries, handling high-volume communications, and coordinating meetings. This is a full-time and permanent position office-based with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in supporting senior leadership.
  • Experience managing diaries and logistics independently.
  • Previous work in a higher education or NHS/Medical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Director’s complex diary and priority alignment.
  • Handle high-volume inbox communications with discretion.
  • Prepare meeting packs, briefings, and follow-up notes.
  • Book travel with detailed itineraries.
  • Draft and edit high-level documents and reports.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders including Board members.
  • Take and distribute formal minutes of meetings.
  • Support the Director in strategic projects.
