Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Event Specialist to join the Event Management team in London. You will partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute event marketing strategies, manage portfolios of conferences, and oversee end-to-end event delivery with focus on risk, governance and branding.

The role requires 3–5 years in a fast-paced events environment, strong budgeting, AV, speaker management and vendor coordination, plus excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as an event specialist in a fast-paced environment, preferably with financial services.
• Knowledge of conferences and event management incl. budgeting, AV, stage production, registration, speaker mgmt, and virtual platforms.
• A relationship builder with superb stakeholder/relationship management skills.
• Results-oriented with strong time management and ability to balance multiple projects.
• Creative strategist and problem solver who communicates with impact and drives outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills and a penchant for innovation and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of firm events with budgeting, venue, suppliers and logistics.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and senior executives to meet objectives.
• Develop and manage event budgets with tracking, invoicing and post-event reconciliation.
• Partner with stakeholders to create event strategies, content and messaging aligned to business aims.
• Provide project management advisory to host teams with clear timelines and deliverables.
• Take ownership and accountability for overall event success.
• Ensure adherence to firm policies, controls and regulatory requirements; manage risk.
• Continuously evaluate industry trends to drive innovation for future events.
