Persimmon Homes is seeking a Divisional External Affairs Manager to lead stakeholder engagement, media relations and strategic communications across the Yorkshire and North East region. Based in Thornaby or one of our regional offices, you’ll travel regularly to engage with councillors, MPs and local communities to protect and enhance our reputation.

The role offers the chance to step into first-line management or expand your external affairs career within a large, values-driven housebuilder

Qualifikationen

• Experience engaging with political, community or business stakeholders.
• Background in public affairs, communications, PR or a political environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Proven track record in proactive communications or PR opportunities.
• Comfort working with senior stakeholders and giving strategic advice.
• Experience in a large or complex organisation is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Organising and leading stakeholder engagement to support planning applications and local communities.
• Responding to media enquiries and promoting positive stories.
• Drafting clear communications including press releases and briefings.
• Advising senior colleagues on political and reputational issues.
• Monitoring political developments and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Ensuring consistent messaging across external affairs and internal comms.
