Job summary

Pertemps Plymouth is seeking a proactive Demand Planner to forecast customer demand, manage stock availability, and support replenishment activities. You will collaborate with Buying and Supply Chain teams, using data insights to optimise inventory levels and improve forecast accuracy.

This highly visible role offers the opportunity to influence business performance across a growing supply chain. Working hours typically Monday to Friday, with a collaborative, data-driven environment in Plymouth.

Qualifications

• Experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Replenishment or Supply Chain.
• Retail, wholesale or FMCG environment experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data.
• Advanced Excel and forecasting/business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Forecast product demand to ensure optimum stock availability.
• Analyse sales trends and demand patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
• Review and monitor promotional activity to reflect expected demand.
• Identify and investigate variances between forecasted and actual sales.
• Manage ordering exceptions and investigate root causes.
• Place and authorise purchase orders, including system-generated orders.
• Create and maintain ordering schedules to support replenishment.
• Forecast and manage stock for promotions and seasonal activity.
• Monitor KPIs, inbound deliveries and outbound projections.
• Collaborate with Buying on product ranges and forecast exceptions.
