Job summary

Barclays seeks a Vice President Data Architect to define and govern the bank's target data architecture in support of business strategy. You will ensure data accuracy, security and accessibility across stakeholders from Glasgow and beyond.

Lead the architecture governance and collaborate with data operations, engineers and analysts to promote standardised, safe, and value-driven data usage while aligning projects to the target architecture and monitoring progress.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data architecture or enterprise data modelling in a large bank.
• Architectural oversight across data product flows to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Knowledge of banking products, risk frameworks, regulatory data requirements.
• Ability to lead strategic data initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop the bank's target data architecture and transition plan.
• Collaborate with data operations, engineers and analysts to promote standardised data usage.
• Maintain governance, standards and protection policies for data models and data stores.
• Ensure projects align with the target data architecture and monitor progress.
• Define reusable data capabilities and connect disparate data sources.
