Job summary

The Crisis Management Exercising Lead at the Financial Conduct Authority will oversee the development and continuous improvement of the crisis management exercising capability. You will design, coordinate and deliver risk-based exercises across Bronze, Silver and Gold levels to test decision-making, governance and response plans.

You will work with senior stakeholders to provide practical guidance, embed lessons learned and drive improvements to organisational readiness and resilience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in crisis management, operational resilience and exercising programmes.
• Significant experience designing, facilitating and evaluating crisis management exercises.
• Solid stakeholder engagement, influencing and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and continuously enhance the FCA’s crisis management exercising programme, ensuring activities are aligned to organisational risks and strategic objectives.
• Design and deliver realistic, risk-based crisis management exercises across Silver and Gold levels, testing governance and response plans.
• Work with Executive Committee members to offer practical guidance, coordinate exercises and improve readiness.
• Identify, analyse and embed lessons learned from exercises and incidents to drive measurable improvements.
• Build partnerships across the organisation supporting Business Continuity leads and promoting resilience and continuous improvement.
