Job summary

World Jewish Relief seeks a Community Lead to shape and drive engagement across UK Jewish life and beyond. You will craft strategy, identify priority audiences and institutions, and build senior relationships and partnerships that connect more people with our mission.

The role will work with synagogues, schools, community organisations, universities, youth movements, cultural and heritage bodies, and professional networks, travelling across the UK as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience representing an organisation credibly with senior external stakeholders.
• Evidence of creating sustained organisational partnerships from initial relationship-building.
• Strong knowledge of the breadth, diversity, structures and sensitivities of contemporary UK Jewish communal life.
• Strong public-speaking and presentation experience, with credibility to act as a spokesperson.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate an ambitious vision into a practical delivery plan.
• Ability to build strong relationships, be persuasive and engage with people at every level.
• Commitment and empathy to the work and values of World Jewish Relief.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK and work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead World Jewish Relief's approach to engagement across Jewish communal life in the UK and beyond.
• Develop the strategy, identify priority audiences and institutions, and build senior relationships and partnerships.
• Collaborate with synagogues, schools, communal organisations, universities, youth movements, cultural bodies and networks.
• Act as an authoritative organisational spokesperson and represent the charity publicly.
