Job summary

British Engineering Services Group in Preston is seeking a Commercial Financial Controller for the Electrical Division to provide financial leadership and commercial insight across the division. You will partner with senior operational leaders to drive profitability, cash generation and operational performance, while leading budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.

You’ll mentor the team and drive continuous improvement across finance processes.

Qualifications

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (essential).
Experience in a Commercial Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Business Partner role.
Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
Experience in leading and developing finance teams.

Responsibilities

Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial reporting.
Act as a trusted finance business partner to divisional leadership, supporting commercial decision making.
Deliver insightful analysis to support revenue growth, pricing strategy, margin improvement and operational efficiency.
Lead the annual budgeting process and regular divisional reforecasts.
Manage cash flow forecasting and drive working capital improvements.
Develop and monitor KPIs including WIP, utilisation and profitability.
Lead and develop the management accounts team.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
Support system improvements and finance transformation projects.
