Job summary

EA Recruitment Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Procurement & Cost Manager in Northfleet, Kent. The role focuses on cost control, procurement strategies, tender pricing, and improving commercial performance across construction projects.

Key responsibilities include cost data management, supplier negotiations, pricing models, and governance. A strong background in procurement and experience with repairs/maintenance are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial, QS, estimating or procurement experience.
• Experience analysing and managing construction costs.
• Procurement experience covering materials and subcontractors.
• Experience in repairs & maintenance, planned works or social housing is relevant.
• Understanding of Schedule of Rates, Target Cost, Open Book, Frameworks, and Term Contracts.
• Strong negotiation and numerical/analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Cost & Commercial Management: maintain cost information; compare against budgets and contract rates; identify risks and opportunities; develop benchmarks.
• Procurement & Supply Chain: develop procurement strategies; obtain quotations; negotiate prices; manage supplier performance.
• Tendering & Pricing: provide commercial input for new contracts; develop cost models and tender pricing; use data to ensure profitability; support growth.
• Commercial Improvement & Controls: identify opportunities to reduce costs; develop standard cost models; maintain controls and governance; analyse performance across contracts.
