Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Chief Finance Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the Trust’s development.

You will lead financial strategy across a diverse family of schools, ensure financial resilience, governance and provide trusted, strategic advice to the CEO and Trustees. Based mainly in Wilton with some travel across Wiltshire and Dorset, the role offers home working and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognised accountancy qualification with active membership.
• CIPFA Level 7 qualification is desirable.
• Significant senior financial leadership experience.
• Experience in large, multi-site organisations.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into strategic advice.
• Commitment to public service in education will help.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Trust’s financial and stewardship strategy across multiple schools.
• Act as trusted adviser to the CEO and Trustees on major decisions.
• Strengthen financial resilience, governance and control.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, treasury, risk and audit processes.
• Develop and lead high-performing finance teams.
