Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking a Category Manager to develop and implement category strategies for a sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives with the business strategy. The role will involve running procurements end-to-end and managing supplier relationships in a highly regulated environment.

You will support the existing Category Manager, engage stakeholders at all levels, and contribute to delivering benefits through category management in a complex project

Qualifications

• 5 years'+ category management experience.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
• Public procurement background.
• Defence experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy.
• Support and execute stakeholder management.
• Delivering benefits through category management interventions within a complex project / programme delivery environment.
• Adopt a polite yet tenacious attitude to achieve goals and move projects towards completion.
