Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking a Buyer, Category to lead end-to-end procurement across assigned categories, driving sourcing, tendering and negotiations. You will manage supplier relationships and ensure value-for-money outcomes while supporting category strategies through spend analysis and market insight.

The role is full-time with a hybrid work pattern (up to two days from home) and reports to the Category Manager within the Procurement Department.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a buyer or procurement role, managing the full end-to-end cycle.
• Experience leading tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills with spend analysis, market insight and supplier evaluation.
• High attention to detail and systems discipline to ensure data accuracy in procurement platforms.
• Collaborative mindset with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Commercial judgement and ethical decision making grounded in value for money.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the full procurement cycle from sourcing through to successful execution.
• Lead or support tendering and negotiation activity within allocated categories.
• Maintain effective supplier relationships and monitor performance against contracts.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to meet business requirements and drive performance across categories.
