Job summary

Pertemps Thames Water is seeking a Portfolio Capital Efficiency Lead based in Reading. You will shape value delivery across one of the UK’s largest capital programmes, working with Sponsor Directors to translate priorities into focused efficiency activity within the Water or Waste portfolio.

You will influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions, review portfolio performance, and develop compelling narratives to steer investments. This hybrid role requires travel and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in capital planning, investment programmes or portfolio management in asset-intensive environments.
• Ability to translate performance information into actionable recommendations.
• Proven track record of influencing decisions at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic capital efficiency lead for Water or Waste portfolios.
• Translate priorities into focused efficiency activities with delivery teams.
• Develop compelling portfolio narratives explaining performance and interventions.
• Influence decision-making and prioritise actions delivering greatest value.
• Collaborate across Sponsorship, Delivery, Finance and PMO to align portfolio view.
