Job summary

The successful candidate will manage materials, components and services to support production within highly regulated industries, with a strong focus on quality, cost and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Buyer/Procurement roles within manufacturing or regulated industries.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier performance and inventory requirements.
• Commercial awareness with a proactive cost-reduction mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and services to meet production needs.
• Raise and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timely processing.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to achieve best value.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply, quality, and delivery issues proactively.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability.
• Analyse inventory, demand forecasts, and purchasing trends for stock management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing across the base.
• Maintain supplier, pricing, and purchasing data within ERP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain.
