Job summary

Laing O'Rourke, a leading international engineering and construction company, is seeking a Project Manager to support work winning, tendering and bid management across diverse civil engineering projects in the UK.

The role covers bid strategy, full bid lifecycle, technical input, risk and commercial management, and stakeholder engagement with clients, consultants and partners to win major infrastructure opportunities.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience in project management or lead engineering within civil projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and NEC contracts.
Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality tender submissions for civil projects across highways, structures, utilities and infrastructure.
Manage the full bid lifecycle from PQQ/EOI through ITT submission and post-tender negotiations.
Develop bid strategies, win themes and value propositions aligned to client requirements.
Coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams including engineering, planning, commercial and supply chain functions.
Ensure submissions are compliant, compelling and competitive.
