Strategic Account Director

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced strategic leader to join Sodexo as a strategic account director, managing a national portfolio for one of our key aerospace and intelligence manufacturing clients. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the delivery of integrated facilities management and catering services across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of safe, compliant, and efficient facilities services while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic leadership across a national team, overseeing Hard FM, Soft FM, and catering services.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance service performance, client satisfaction, and financial growth.
  • Foster strong relationships with client stakeholders and Sodexo SMEs to build effective governance models and drive collaboration.
  • Inspire, coach, and empower your team to deliver exceptional results and embody Sodexo’s values and Zero Harm mindset.
  • Lead strategic projects that improve processes, efficiency, and innovation across the account.
  • Ensure robust financial performance, managing budgets and P&L accounts exceeding £15m.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in strategic management of facilities services within manufacturing, defence, or similar sectors.
  • Strong expertise across Hard and Soft FM, with sound knowledge of compliance, CAFM systems, and safety governance.
  • Demonstrable success managing large, complex, multi-service operations across multiple sites.
  • A degree in Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (project management qualifications highly desirable).
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, and confidence to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
