Strategic Account Desk Manager

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Account Desk Manager to lead our premium client services operation at HSS Proservice. This pivotal leadership role will oversee the delivery of world-class service to our most valuable customer accounts, managing a team of 8 Team Leaders who are responsible for the end-to-end order management across different industry sectors.

The impact you’ll have :

As the Strategic Account Desk Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction for our largest accounts. You will ensure seamless service delivery, maintain the highest standards of customer care, and identify opportunities to expand our business relationships with these key clients.

A typical day :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8 Team Leaders, each managing different sector portfolios
  • Set clear performance objectives and hold the team accountable for delivering exceptional results
  • Ensure KPIs are consistently met or exceeded across all managed accounts
  • Guarantee that special customer requirements are fully understood, documented, and embedded into operations
  • Take full ownership of revenue and margin delivery for the Strategic Accounts portfolio
  • Lead the onboarding process for new large accounts won by the sales team, ensuring smooth transitions and rapid value realization
  • Collaborate with internal teams across sales, marketplace, supply chain, shared service and finance to deliver integrated solutions

What you’ll bring :

  • Proven experience in a senior account management or operations leadership role, preferably managing large, complex B2B accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, ideally with experience managing Team Leaders or middle management
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue and margin growth
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of KPIs, SLAs, and performance management frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience managing complex operational challenges
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with account onboarding and implementation processes
  • Desirable :

  • Experience in the hire, equipment, fuel, or building materials sectors
  • Knowledge of tender processes and bid management
  • Experience working with CRM and order management systems
  • Track record of successful cross-selling across multiple product line
