We are a specialist Physical Health Team that has recently expanded within Adult Community Mental Health Services in Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The team’s focus is to improve physical health outcomes for our patients, following standards issued by the Care Quality Commission, NHS England and NICE guidelines. This role involves cardio‑metabolic monitoring in outpatient clinics and occasional home visits to undertake annual cardio‑metabolic physical health checks, monitoring physical observations (BP, weight/height/BMI), completing ECGs and taking bloods (all training provided), and supporting senior clinicians within the one‑stop Clozapine Clinic.
The salary is set in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change pay scales, based on experience working directly within the NHS. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will be considered; candidates without prior NHS experience may be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate equivalent experience.
The Trust is committed to equal opportunities, providing flexible working and is a non‑smoking organisation. It champions anti‑racism, disability inclusion and LGBTQ+ equality and welcomes and encourages applications from people who belong to minority or marginalised communities, including Black and Asian, disabled (including hidden disabilities), and LGBTQ+ individuals. Disabled applicants can request consideration under the Guaranteed Interview Scheme. All applicants will be offered reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
