We are looking for experienced Stores Team Leader who are looking for their next challenge and thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, manufacturing parts for major Aerospace and Defence OEMs. Our modern facility is designed so no jobs are too big for us – anything from components on helicopters to the manufacture of complex tooling. Starting Salary and responsibility will be offered according to experience and qualifications with opportunities to increase salary with experience.

Key responsibilities
  • Within our Stores function you will mainly help deliver the following, whilst additional tasks may also be required:
  • Ensure accurate inventory records (98%+ accuracy) for parts identification, storage locations and quantities across all stores.
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of Perpetual Inventory Routines, including cycle counts and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Supervise and support all stores staff, including managing departmental schedules, performance appraisals and on the job training for new hires.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues, clarify procedures and expedite workflows.
  • Maintain detailed records of all materials received, ensuring all goods are processed within 24 hours of arrival at goods in.
  • Track and report key performance metrics to ensure efficient stores operations.
  • Actively participate in and promote the continuous improvement program within the Supply Chain function, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Picking, packing and despatching sales, repair and subcontract orders.
  • Receiving inbound daily deliveries from couriers and hauliers.
  • Inspecting delivered goods to various defined standards.
  • Binning goods into a stock location.
  • Issuing and receiving of tooling used in the production process.
  • Picking & internally delivering piece part kits for the manufacture of production parts.
  • Shelf-life reviews.
  • High level of housekeeping within the stores area and 5S cleanliness of working areas.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.

  • Computer literacy with good working experience of Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with typical ERP/MRP systems; specific training will be given in our systems
  • Team player and able to communicate well with others in the business
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy, pressured and demanding environment
  • Understanding of Aerospace standards and traceability, Lot control and record-keeping would be advantageous
  • Forklift licence would be advantageous
  • Commercial awareness, excellent problem-solving skills, eliminating wastes and risks
  • Provide training, guidance and assistance to co-workers as required
Benefits

You will be offered a full-time contract which comes with a competitive salary, 28 days holiday including statutory and public holidays and a private healthcare scheme. Our site has car parking, canteen facility and the benefit of a newly equipped gym for staff use. The role is 40 hours per week with the opportunity for overtime. Standard shifts are 8 hour day, Monday to Friday from 07:45-16:45.

You will receive a comprehensive induction, on-site training which will cover all aspects of the role, and Health, Safety and Fire and HR compliance training.
