A well-established electronics manufacturer in Basingstoke is seeking a Stores Operative to manage stock and support production. Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, storing materials, and using ERP systems. The ideal candidate has experience in a stores or warehouse environment and good attention to detail. This temporary contract has the potential to become permanent. Immediate start available.

Stores Operative - Temporary

Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am 5:30pm (38 hours per week)
Pay: £13.15 per hour / £26,000 per annum
Type: Contract (with potential opportunity to go permanent)
Start Date: Immediate

Our client is a well-established electronics manufacturer looking for a reliable and organised Stores operative to join our Stores team on a contract basis, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

As the new Stores operative, you’ll play a vital role in managing stock and supporting production by ensuring all materials and components are where they need to be, when they need to be.

What you’ll be doing as a Stores Operative:
  • Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
  • Accurately storing and labelling stock
  • Picking and preparing materials for production
  • Maintaining an organised and tidy stores area
  • Using our ERP system to monitor and update stock levels
  • Packaging up completed products ready for shipment to our customers
  • Reporting shortages or stock issues
What we’re looking for in a Stores Operative:
  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or stock control role
  • Confident using stock management systems (ERP experience preferred)
  • Ideally, experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Good IT skills
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to commute to Basingstoke
