Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited seeks a Stores Operative to join the HMP Bure team. The role supports stores, logistics, and maintenance operations within a Category C prison, with a Monday–Friday, 39‑hour week.

You will work alongside engineers, cleaners, and administrators to maintain a safe and secure environment for prisoners and staff, contributing to rehabilitation and public safety. Full driving and security awareness are preferred, with comprehensive benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Fork Lift Truck Certificate required.
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths required.
• Full driving licence preferably with D1.
• HGV Licence desired.
• Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate stores and logistics within HMP Bure.
• Collaborate with facility maintenance teams to keep operations safe.
• Maintain stock records and support day‑to‑day store duties.
