Job summary

Red Funnel is seeking a Stores Operative for a 32-hour, four-days-per-week role, based in our Southampton operation. You will handle receiving, storing and distributing goods, and use a Stores van for deliveries as part of a busy team.

The role emphasises accuracy, physical work, and reliability, with full training and opportunities to develop skills across our systems. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ordering stock and receiving deliveries from suppliers.
• Ensuring goods are delivered across the operation in a timely manner.

• Safely storing, organising and managing stock.
• Carrying out stock movements and manual handling activities.
• Supporting stock takes and audit processes.
• Completing short-distance delivery runs using the Stores van.

Permanent Stores Operative (32 Hours per Week)

Our Warehouse & Stores team are looking for a motivated and reliable Stores Operative to join them on a32-hour contract, working 4 days out of 7.

This is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of our operation, supporting teams across the business and helping to ensure everything runs smoothly. As part of a close-knit and supportive team, you'll receive full training and have opportunities to develop your skills and experience across a range of systems and processes.

About the Role

As a Stores Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, storing and distributing goods across the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring stock is available when needed and that deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.

A full driving licence is essential, as you will use the Stores van to carry out to complete deliveries.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, energetic environment, can manage their own workload effectively, and is comfortable with physical work, including regular manual handling and stock movement.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

• Can manage their own time and workload effectively
• Is willing to get stuck in and support the wider team
• Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems
• Can work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
• Is aged 18 years or over
