Seeking an experienced Stores Manager with proven aviation stores management experience and a background in leading a small team.

Our client is a Part 145 aviation component maintenance and repair organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, busy environment, working closely with all other internal departments & external stakeholders and auditors.

This position is central to ensuring that all aircraft parts, tooling, consumables, and materials are efficiently managed, compliant, and readily available to support ongoing maintenance operations.

You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, process improvement, and the daily performance and development of the stores team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage all stores operations, including receipt, storage, issuing, and shipment of parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels using inventory management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (traceability, certification, shelf-life control, storage conditions).
  • Lead, train, and support the stores team, fostering a collaborative, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Liaise with Customer Support, Maintenance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of parts and tools.
  • Monitor, review, and improve stock control and stores processes.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support both internal and external audits.
  • Manage repairs, tooling registers, and calibration schedules.
  • Support the maintenance team by ensuring all required materials and resources are available.
