Qualifications

  • Valid forklift license.
  • Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely certification.

Join the team as a Stores & Maintenance Controller at a leading manufacturing site – Aldridge

Salary: Up to £29,510 - £32,400 (DOE) + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

About the Role

As our Stores & Maintenance Controller, you’ll be key to ensuring the smooth running of our engineering stores and supporting maintenance operations. You’ll play a vital role in health & safety systems, stock control, and supporting plant reliability through efficient materials management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain engineering stores for optimal availability and organisation
  • Use Agility software to input and manage stock data
  • Unload/load goods and allocate materials using FLT
  • Monitor and manage maintenance spend within budget
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives and contribute to audit improvements
  • Maintain COSHH records
  • Liaise with contractors and assist with lifting inspections and defect reporting
About You
  • Valid forklift license
  • 2+ years’ experience in a high‑production environment (automotive, FMCG or food industries preferred)
  • Strong organisational, planning, and IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Health & Safety aware with a proactive, self‑motivated mindset
  • Desirable: SAP experience & IOSH Managing Safely certification

Required: Current or previous experience as stores controller, engineering stores controller, stores operative, technical stores controller, stores assistant, stores manager, stock controller, stock control coordinator, stores coordinator, maintenance stores controller or engineering stores controller.
