Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations Inc is recruiting a Stores & Logistics Operative for our Rainham, Essex site. You will support the efficient movement of materials, maintain stock accuracy and assist with despatch of finished goods to keep production moving.

You will receive, store and track parts, replenish assembly areas and coordinate tray movements. Forklift loading, inventory checks and cross-department collaboration are essential to ensure timely despatch and accurate stock records.

Responsibilities

Stores & Logistics Operative

Permanent | Perrin & Rowe | Stores & Logistics | 40 Hours Per Week | Rainham, Essex

Keep materials moving. Maintain stock accuracy. Support uninterrupted production.

We are looking for a Stores & Logistics Operative to support the efficient movement of materials, components and finished goods across our Rainham manufacturing site.

You'll receive and store parts, maintain accurate stock records, replenish assembly areas, prepare trays and support the safe and accurate despatch of finished goods. Working as part of our Stores & Logistics team, you'll play an important role in keeping production moving and ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Goods Receipt & Stock Control

• Receive parts from the machine shop and external sites, checking deliveries against paperwork.
• Scan, locate and store parts and trays accurately.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through timely scanning and stock movements.
• Identify and escale stock or delivery discrepancies promptly.
• Consolidate stock and maintain organised storage areas.

Production & Assembly Support

• Replenish assembly cells with the parts and materials required for production.
• Kit assembly lines in line with plans provided by the Team Leader.
• Remove trays and materials no longer required from assembly areas.
• Support uninterrupted production by replenishing materials promptly.
• Maintain clean and organised Assembly, Stores and Mezzanine areas.

Tray & Logistics Coordination

• Prepare four-level trays for despatch activity.
• Scan, wrap and prepare trays for transport to Shaw Road or other locations.
• Print labels and activate works orders accurately.
• Coordinate tray movements and update stock counts at the required stages.

Despatch & Vehicle Loading

• Load vehicles safely and efficiently using forklifts.
• Check outgoing goods against despatch documentation and bookings.
• Book deliveries and verify paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with other departments to support timely and accurate despatch.

For This Role We Would Need You To Demonstrate

• A willingness to learn new tasks, processes and systems.
• Basic IT skills, with training provided on the systems used.
• The ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
• A well-organised approach to stock, trays and paperwork.
• Strong attention to stock and delivery accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
• A commitment to maintaining safe, clean and tidy working areas.
• A flexible approach to supporting stores, logistics and production activities.
