Job summary

Dunbia in Wales is seeking a Stores Operative to manage PPE, laundry, and non-meat production materials in a busy stores department. The role involves receiving, storing, moving, and issuing items, maintaining accurate stock records and supporting production with timely supplies.

You will operate a forklift/Bendi, conduct stock counts, liaise with HR on PPE needs, and cooperate with Transport to ensure smooth despatch of goods.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills, ability to plan workloads to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment and responsibility are key in this role.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with MS Office Applications, in particular Microsoft Excel.
• Holding a valid forklift truck licence (Bendi) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and issuing laundry, checking consignments, and maintaining stock records.
• Liaising with HR regarding PPE/locker requirements for starters and leavers.
• Carrying out stock counts and reporting discrepancies to the Manager.
• Assisting with receiving, storing, moving, and issuing all non-meat production materials.
• Checking and signing for delivered items and ensuring correct quantities.
• Operating forklift/Bendi to unload deliveries and move stock.
• Ensuring adequate stock is available for production and coordinating with Transport for despatch.
