Job summary

Niche Recruitment is seeking a proactive Stores Assistant for an established engineering business in Witney. This ongoing temporary role covers stores duties and stock administration, with a clear path to permanent employment for the right candidate.

You'll receive deliveries, update stock records in Excel/ERP, support production teams, perform regular stock checks and help improve stores processes. Monday to Friday, on-site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, stock control or logistics environment.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, are essential.
• Experience using stock management systems or ERP software.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• A practical, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, check goods against purchase orders and book stock into the system.
• Maintain accurate stock records using Excel and inventory software.
• Picking, packing and preparing parts and materials for production teams.
• Managing goods in, goods out and general stock movements.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and keeping the stores area organised.
• Supporting improvements to stores processes and procedures.
