Job summary

A leading construction firm based in Wymondham is seeking a Stores Controller to oversee day-to-day operations in their transportation team. Responsibilities include managing the stores, coordinating with the factory team, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.   • Load and unload curtain‑sider HGVs, couriers, and customer vehicles.
  • Maintain and replenish stores to meet order requirements.

Job description

We're looking for a Stores Controller to join our Transportation team at our Wymondham, Norfolk site. In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day operations of the stores within the Kier Highways Solutions Wymondham plant.

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk - site-based, 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 45 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Stores Controller, you'll work closely with the factory team to ensure sales orders are fulfilled and customers receive excellent service.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities
  • Inducting visitors, customers, and sub‑contractors to site, ensuring compliance with PPE guidelines and site rules
  • Operation of site access and egress system, and operation of weighbridge
  • Coordinating with the Factory Supervisor to arrange bulk and packed goods collections promptly
  • Processing material collections using the Business Central IT system
  • Loading and unloading curtain‑sider HGVs, couriers, and customer vehicles
  • Maintaining and replenishing stores to meet order requirements
