Job Title: Stores Assistant

Location: Cheshire, CW3

Employment Type: Full-time & Permanent

Salary: 12.25 then increased after probation period

We are a leading manufacturer of pumping equipment, supplying high-quality and reliable solutions to industrial and commercial clients. Our continued growth has created an opportunity for a dedicated Stores Assistant to join our operations team.

About the Role

As a Stores Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our manufacturing and assembly operations. You’ll be responsible for managing stock, handling components and materials, and ensuring accurate inventory control to keep production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, components, and parts.
  • Accurately record goods received and update stock management systems.
  • Issue materials to production teams as required and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stores area.
  • Assist in conducting regular stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Prepare and package parts for dispatch to customers or field service teams.
  • Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the Stores Supervisor.
  • Support logistics and purchasing teams with inventory-related queries.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering stores environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical or electrical components would be an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Computer literate with experience using stock control or ERP systems.
  • Physically capable of manual handling within safety limits.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Hold a valid counter balance license & LLOP.
