Qualifications

  • Experience in stores, warehouse, or catering support is required.
  • Basic stock control knowledge is necessary.
  • Good organisation and time management skills expected.
  • Attention to detail is important for this role.
  • Team player with good communication skills desirable.
  • Health & safety awareness required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks is necessary; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Log all deliveries accurately.
  • Store items safely using FIFO (first in, first out).
  • Keep stock records and do regular stock counts.
  • Quickly issue stock to kitchen and service teams.
  • Keep storage areas clean and safe.
  • Report any missing, damaged, or incorrect items.
  • Help with ordering and talking to suppliers.
  • Use manual handling equipment safely.
  • Support kitchen during busy times.
  • Follow all Sodexo and University of Galway rules.
  • Receive and check deliveries against orders.

Overview

Storeperson – Newcastle, Galway – Full Time. 37.5 hours per week. €13.50 - €16.00 per hour. Opportunities for career development. Plus our Sodexo employee benefits package.
