Job description

TSS are looking for a Store Security Manager in Central London where no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to carve out a career with the biggest name in security.

Position Details

• Position: Store Security Manager
• Location: Central London
• Pay Rate: £14-15 per hour
• Hours: Full time - 5 days a week, including Saturday
• Shifts: 12 Hours (10:30-22:30)

Role Overview

To minimize theft within retail premises by effectively utilizing security resources, to ensure that staff conduct arrests in strict adherence to Primark's detention policy and ASCONE principles, to provide necessary training, coaching, and mentoring to staff, to lead, manage, and motivate a team of staff to achieve client objectives, and to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and company documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance in day-to-day management of the security team, ensuring exemplary standards of dress, conduct, and professionalism.
• Conduct regular team meetings to brief Officers on daily operations, store objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all company documentation is completed promptly following an incident or event, using Auror as the main platform for reporting all incidents.
• Detain offenders in accordance with Primark's detention policy/ASCONE and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date store paperwork, including records of lost property, RLP Civil Recovery.
• Act as a liaison point with emergency services, as directed by store management.
• Conduct regular meetings with store management to discuss team performance, loss prevention, and KPI.
• Build partnership relations with the Police and other relevant retail/BID agencies.
• Report major issues, including wrongful arrests and physical assaults, to Store Management, TSS Control Center, or Area Manager immediately.
• Maintain daily records of arrests and deterrents for KPI analysis and potential legal requirements, utilizing Auror incident reporting platforms and other appropriate documentation.
• Conduct thorough induction training for all new Officers, ensuring relevant documentation is signed off in conjunction with the Area Manager.
• Identify and report to the Area Manager any shortfalls in performance or conduct among team members, recommending appropriate training or remedial action.
• Ensure all staff are treated fairly and equally, in accordance with the company's policy.
• Participate in projects and working groups and carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit for personal development or as reasonably required by the company.

Qualifications and Experience

• SIA Door Supervision (DS) licence (mandatory).
• Excellent team-working, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Clear and confident communication skills to interact with clients, customers, and colleagues.
• High standards of personal appearance and presentation.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Good computer literacy.
• SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) licence (useful but not essential).
• First Aid qualification (useful but not essential).
• Experience in a similar role (useful but not essential).
