Store Protection Officer – Waitrose

Location: Waitrose, Stanford Road, Lymington, Hampshire, England, SO41 9GF
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 42 hours per week (contracted)
Contract: Permanent site with guaranteed hours

The Role

As a Store Protection Officer at Waitrose, you will be responsible for protecting the store, its colleagues, customers and assets while delivering excellent customer service in line with Mitie and Waitrose values. You will act as a visible, professional presence and play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Protect people, property and assets within the store
• Provide a professional and customer-focused security presence
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and challenging situations
• Use Mitie technology, including body-worn cameras and mobile reporting devices
• Work closely with the National Operations Centre (NOC) and site management
• Follow ASCONE guidance and all Assignment Instructions (AIs)
• Accurately complete incident reports and notebook entries
• Maintain high standards of health and safety awareness
• Liaise with emergency services when required
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and company requirements

• Previous security experience (retail experience desirable but not essential)
