Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Wrexham is seeking a Store Manager to lead a new team on a full-time, 6-month temporary contract. You will manage a busy shop, drive sales, and maintain high standards of customer service, stock control, and governance with paid staff and volunteers.

You will be responsible for financial controls, safeguarding, and health & safety, while developing your team and ensuring excellent store standards.

Qualifications

• Experienced manager with ability to drive sales and meet KPI's.
• Able to lead a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers.
• Strong customer service focus and merchandising knowledge.
• Capable of managing cash handling, security, safeguarding and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales to meet budgets and KPIs.
• Run a high-density shop with daily stock rotation and proper merchandising.
• Generate stock over the door and sign up donors for Gift Aid.
• Lead and train paid colleagues and volunteers; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee cash handling, security, safeguarding and health & safety.
