Overview

As the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the world, we pride ourselves on delivering delicious baked goods and brilliant customer service. We are seeking a full-time or part-time, temporary Store Manager (to cover maternity leave for a period of approx. 6 months but may be subject to change) to lead and inspire our team in Cardiff Central Train Station. This role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time hours, but morning availability is essential. Our store is open every day of the week, with operating hours from 6.00am to 19:00pm; these hours are subject to change throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours across all seven days including weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage hiring, performance, scheduling, and task assignments for the team.
  • Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Commercial Targets: Develop and implement plans to achieve commercial targets for sales, standards, people, and costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure the shop is functional, presentable, and maintains high standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Stock Management: Champion stock availability and product quality, oversee ordering, stock counts, merchandising, and stock rotation.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a role model for delivering the best customer service experience on the high street.
  • Team Development: Ensure the store team is safe, motivated, and well-trained.
