Job summary

Lidl is seeking a Store Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep of our Wednesbury region stores, from groundwork repairs to painting and decorating. This versatile, hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied daily tasks and practical problem solving.

You’ll work 45 hours, with evenings and weekends as required, and receive a salary of £32,000–£34,000 per year, 30 days’ holiday pro rata, 10% in-store discount, enhanced family leave and a contributory pension.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance work.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Desirable NVQ or BTEC qualifications.
• Eye for detail in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural maintenance in both stores and warehouses.
• Attend to general building and labouring work.
• Put decorating skills to good use, including painting and tiling.
• Confidently carry out general plumbing duties.
• Frequently use power tools.
• Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance visits to stores and work proactively to find and repair faults.
• Collaborate with external contractors to complete complex maintenance tasks.
• Maintain health and safety practices and promote safe working practices.

What you'll do
