Job summary

Tesco in the United Kingdom is hiring store colleagues to join our team. The role offers an hourly rate starting at £13.28, with a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week and options to work as few as 12 hours.

Availability windows are published and shifts scheduled with three weeks’ notice. You will be part of a diverse, welcoming team, delivering great service to shoppers while learning products and contributing across service, picking and replenishment areas.

Responsibilities

• Knowing customers and serving them with passion and pride
• Be passionate and knowledgeable about products and services in store
• Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required
• Putting training into practice to work safely and serve customers brilliantly
• Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines in store
• Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere
• Be knowledgeable about store performance and the role you play in driving service, sales, reducing waste and delivering profit
• Handle products with care to maintain quality
• Be yourself, live Tesco values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies
• Occasionally accept deliveries into the store
