Job summary

FatFace is hiring a Store Assistant Manager in Lewes for a new store opening in November 2026. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours weekly with a starting salary from £28,107.

You will support the Store Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive profitable growth and maintain operational excellence. You will lead the team, ensure brand standards are met across service, store presentation and compliance, and oversee recruitment, stock, and daily store routines.

Qualifications

• Experience managing retail teams and driving sales KPIs.
• Strong stock management and cash handling knowledge.
• Proven leadership with coaching and developing staff.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Resilience and initiative to adapt to changing store needs.
• Proficient IT skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with professionalism and brand-aligned behaviour.
• Drive store performance by supporting sales, service and KPI delivery.
• Coach and mentor team members and manage recruitment and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, loss prevention and budgets.
• Oversee stock management and daily store operations.
• Open and close the store, and act as Store Manager in absence.
